Kala’i Blakemore is an artist and Printmaker from Big Island, Hawaii, who currently works and lives in Louisville, Kentucky. Kala’i obtained her Bachelors of Art from the University of Hawai’i, at Hilo and her MFA in Printmaking from University of Iowa. Kala’i has worked as an Instructor of Record at the University of Iowa, Coe College, and is currently a faculty member at the Hite Art Institute at the University of Louisville.

Kala’i has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has received awards from the University of Hawaii, University of Iowa, Honolulu Printmakers, McNeese State University and the Denver Art Gym.
